Pleasant Peasant Dress
This style of dress was worn extensively by both peasants and free class women in the 12th and 13th Centuries. Made from a poly-cotton blend, it is both durable and easy to care for. The cut is straight down from the waist, but it flares out at the bottom to allow freedom of movement and horseback riding. The dress includes a girdle of the same fabric that is tightened with black cording to emphasize the waist (no lacing). The sleeves have elastic smocking. Choose Berry Red or Meadow Green. Colors may vary slightly due to variations in fabric. Sizes to XL (see size chart below). This dress is ankle length for someone 5'3", so taller ladies may want to add a lacy underskirt or wide trim to add length to the skirt. To order, choose your size from the dropdown list, then click "add to cart".
