This Circa 1350 German Bastard-type Sword has a wood grip with raised bands, wrapped in a rich brown leather, as is the matching ornate scabbard and sword belt, which is included with the sword purchase. All other parts are steel. The classic wheel pommel is decorated with an etched pattern. The long blade is lightly hollow ground, made from well-tempered, high carbon steel. This is truly a knightly sword! German-made weapons were prized all over Europe. The blade is 34" long, 1-7/8" wide, the sword is 42" overall. Sold unsharpened, but can be sharpened for an additional fee.
