This regal gown of red velvet has some wonderful period details--like the 2-part sleeves. The inner sleeve is close-fitting, while the outer sleeve is split at the elbows to form a graceful drape of fabric with a contrasting brocade inner lining. The same brocade is used to trim the bodice and upper sleeves, form a girdle-style "belt" at the dropped waist and an "underskirt" panel that shows beneath the velvet overskirt. Drawstring and eyelets on back for a custom fit.
