HISTORY: The colors and plaids used for kilts didn't signify any particular meaning until the 18th Century, although the upper classes showed off their wealth by the number of extra colors in their plaids, but this way of showing the wearer's social status soon went out of fashion.

Both kilts above are made of soft acrylic wool. Kilts were originally pleated on the floor before being tied around the waist. We've made these easier to put on by sewing in the pleats. Order by waist size: S (28-30"), M ( 32-34"), L (36-38"), XL (40-42"). Belt and sporran sold below. Highlands shirt pictured above sold separately.
