Made from high-quality Viscose fabric, with eyelet and lacing close at the neck and buttoned cuffs. The striped sleeves resemble the puffed, slashed sleeves of 15th Century "Landsknecht" period costumes.
HISTORY: The Landsknecht, meaning 'Servant of the Country' were thousands of mercenaries recruited by Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I in the late 15th Century. Their style of dress, which included bright colors, slashed sleeves and pantlegs (often called "Puff and Slash") along with huge feathered hats, are a popular style often emulated in Ren Faire costuming.
