#C-1061 -- Made from high-quality Viscose fabric, with an elastic waist and buttoned ankle cuffs. Loose-fitting and very comfor-table, the bold stripes and Me-dieval design are reminiscent of "landsknecht" period costumes.
HISTORY: The Landsknecht, (which means 'Servant of the Country'), were thousands of mercenaries recruited by Holy Roman Emperor Maximilian I in the late 15th Century. Their style of dress, which included bright colors, slashed sleeves and pantlegs (often called "Puff and Slash") along with huge feathered hats, are a popular style often emulated in Ren Faire costuming.
