This massive sword (circa 1450) must have been a fearsome sight on the battlefield! This sword is a copy of IV-1787 in the Royal Armouries of England. Even though it is a big sword, it is beautifully balanced for two-handed use, allowing for sweeping cuts. In the hands of a seasoned knight, it would have swept away all in its path! The long grip is wood, covered in leather. All other parts are steel. A truly impressive sword, with the matching scabbard included. The blade is 44" long and 2-1/16" wide. Overall, the sword is 57-1/2" long. Sold unsharpened, but can be sharpened for an additional fee.
