This double layer skirt is two skirts in one, but costs less than buying two separate skirts! Each layer is a different color, so you can hike the top skirt and tuck a corner under your bodice to reveal the second, contrasting layer, as tavern wenches did in times of yore. (Any wench prosperous enough to own two skirts would show them off by wearing both in just such a fashion.) Or hike both sides for a different look--see pictures below. Both skirts are sewn to a single elastic and drawstring waist-band for ease of wear. Sizes to XXL (see size chart below).
