This impressive Italian sword is named for the 1379 Battle of Chioggia, where the Venetians totally crushed the Genovese forces and ended Genoa's dominance as a great sea power.  Well-balanced and fast, it has a deeply fluted steel pommel and beveled guard. The grip is wood covered in leather with decorative studs.  The well-tempered, high carbon steel blade is also nicely fluted, and the perfect length for a nimble, one-hand sword.  Nicely decorated scabbard included.     The sword is 39" long overall, with a 1-7/8" wide, 32" long blade. Sold unsharpened, but can be sharpened for an additional fee.
