The manufacturers of this impressive broadsword worked directly with the master armorer in the original production to create a reproduction that is identical in every detail to the famous William Wallace sword used in the movie 'Braveheart'. Forged of high carbon steel and fully tempered, the sword features the full tang of the original. The authentic materials include a custom wood grip with an oil-tanned leather wrap. No scabbard available. Swords of this type were carried strapped to the back with the blade down. No detail has been ommitted, including the custom-made wool tartan strip tied to the handle, as seen in the film. Sold unsharpened, but can be sharpened for an additional fee. Comes with a certificate of authenticity and the full color wood display plaque pictured above. The Blade is 47-1/2" long and 2" wide. The overall sword is a massive 6'1".
